Huanglong Travel Guide

Though often unfairly considered as side attraction beside Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong is attraction for itself, and should be regarded and visited as such, no matter whether visiting Jiuzhaigou or not. This place is very beautiful, interesting and has a lot to offer in terms of natural beauties, with manmade Buddhist and Taoist temples on its top, serving as a perfect contrast to the nature. Being attractive no matter the season, it is recommended that, if possible, you should avoid winter when visiting Huanglong, since due to the lack of water, waterfalls and many pools tend to dry out. In general, with the combination of water, trees, surrounding mountains, rare animals, such as giant pandas and Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey, this place will offer such a pleasant rest and make you want to come again.

It would be perfect if you can combine Huanglong visit with Jiuzhaigou National Park. Click here to read how can you visit them together or if you can visit only one of them, which one to choose.
