  4. Great Mosque of Xi’an (1 hour)
  5. Muslim Quarter (2-3 hours)

Total time for a sightseeing without pauses: 8-10.5 hours

You might think that terracotta warriors are the only attraction in or near Xi’an, but this can not be further from the truth. Shaanxi History Museum is one the best museums in China, and as such it can be the reason to come to Xi’an, even if there isn’t terracotta warriors. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is within walking distance from Shaanxi History Museum, so it is best to combine visit of these two attractions.

Bell Tower and Drum Tower are landmarks of Xi’an. As they are located at the heart of the city, it is very hard to miss them even if you want to.

Tucked away in one of the narrow alleys of Muslim Quarter, northwest of the Drum Tower, is Great Mosque of Xi’an. It may be a little hard to find, but don’t miss this great example of Islamic architecture in China. After Great Mosque, dive into the Muslim Quarter, vibrant maze of narrow streets, markets, and restaurants.
